Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is holding a themed art show that will give all children and youth aged 6 – 18 the opportunity to create artwork for the rooms of Q̓ʷalayu House, Campbell River’s home away from home! We are encouraging children and youth in communities on Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands to get involved in this fun project!

Q̓ʷalayu House Virtual Art Show FAQ
All amateur young artists aged 6 – 18 who live on Vancouver Island or the surrounding islands.
Young artists can submit a maximum of three pieces.
All artwork must be received by March 26, 2021.
You are welcome to create artwork for three different themes. The selected artwork will be displayed in the corresponding themed room, so please keep artwork to one theme per piece.
Once the show closes, it will take up to four weeks to review all submissions and make a final decision. Artists whose artwork is selected for Q̓ʷalayu House will be notified via phone and/or email.
Your artwork will be displayed in a digital art show on this page. If your artwork is
selected for Q̓ʷalayu House, it will be framed and placed in the room corresponding to the theme of your art piece for families and children to enjoy during their stay at Q̓ʷalayu House. Below your artwork will be your first name, age, and title of your piece.
At least two pieces of artwork will be selected for each theme. (22 pieces)
Markers, paints, watercolors, pastels, collage – as long as it is two-dimensional. All artwork must be submitted on 8.5” x11” paper to allow for framing and displaying on a wall.
No, unfortunately only mailed-in artwork will be accepted.
No, unfortunately, the artwork will not be returned.
Yes, absolutely. Please handwrite the information required on a separate piece of paper and include it along with your submission.
