Change a child’s life
Our volunteers are essential to our success: You bring life experience, knowledge, and ideas to your roles that shape our work and make a difference in the lives of our Island’s kids and youth.
Volunteering with Children’s Health Foundation is a rewarding and satisfying experience. Whether you are working in a garden, in an office, in a kitchen, or at an event — know that everything you do makes a huge difference and is greatly appreciated.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to support kids and youth in your community, check below for current opportunities. For more information, or to apply, email us at email@example.com
Community events & fundraising
While we have a long history in the Victoria area, we’re the new kid in town in Campbell River. We are looking to raise our profile up here by building a team of outgoing, positive volunteers who will assist us at community and fundraising events — and we would love your help!
We provide training to ensure you feel prepared and supported as a volunteer. CHFVI is an inclusive organization, and we welcome volunteers of all levels of experience and abilities. At this time, all volunteers must be 19+ years of age. If interested, please reach out to Kristine Nolte, Fund Development Coordinator (North Island) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q̓ʷalayu House is a home in Campbell River where families from the north Island and surrounding islands can stay while their children receive health care in the region, and where pregnant individuals from remote communities can stay close to hospital as their due date approaches. We are looking for volunteers to help create a sense of home. Whether you have a free hour or are looking for more of a permanent volunteer role, please take a moment to view our current opportunities below:

Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is recruiting new members to its Board of Directors. As a Board member, you would be joining a group of committed volunteers to provide governance and guidance to our Foundation. The Board meets every two months, and each Director is accountable for serving on one or two committees.
The Board seeks to represent our ethnic and indigenous communities and to ensure we are reflective of the diversity of the communities we serve. We are also looking for individuals who can represent the needs of children with complex health care needs. Additionally, we are looking for individuals across Vancouver Island who have experience, relationships and networks to support our work in projects and fundraising, who have health care experience, legal expertise, or institutional investment expertise. Please submit your resume or letter of interest outlining your background to: Kathy St. John at firstname.lastname@example.org.
