Qwalayu House construction
We are currently building Qwalayu House, a new home away from home in Campbell River. The 10-room home will provide out-of-town families with children and expectant moms a safe and welcoming place to stay while they receive essential health care in Campbell River. Thank you to Vancouver Island Health Authority, First Nations Health Authority, Campbell River Mayor Andy Adams, and the Qwalayu House steering committee for your unwavering support and dedication to making this project a reality. Also, a special thank you to Little Prints Photography, Ricci Miller, for capturing weekly updates of the construction progress.

Home away from home Campbell River Qwalayu House campaign launch
We have officially launched a fundraising campaign to build a home away from home in Campbell River. Here are a few memorable moments from our announcement. We need your help to raise $7 million to build and equip the home, and to support operations costs for the first five years. This development is inspired by Jeneece Place, a home away from home in Victoria. Qwalayu House will support families in the northern region of Vancouver Island and neighbouring communities.
