Feel good about fuelling up: Fuel Good Day is September 18

Peninsula Co-op has generously chosen the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island as the receiving charity for its annual Fuel Good Day! Fill up your tank on September 18 and know that you’re supporting a good cause. Let’s work together and beat last year’s total raised for Island kids!

What: Peninsula Co-op Fuel Good Day

When: All day Tuesday, September 18

How it works: Visit any participating Peninsula Co-op location on September 18 and fill up with gas. Thanks to Peninsula Co-op’s generosity, 5 cents from every litre of gas or diesel sold that day will be donated directly to the Foundation.

Why participate: By fuelling up at a participating location on September 18, you’re helping us invest in the health of kids on Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands. We support three main areas, including early childhood development, child and youth mental health, and rural and remote access to care. We also support programs including Bear Essentials, which supports Islands kids who have medical conditions, health challenges or disabilities. It covers the costs associated with receiving healthcare outside of a child’s community, medical or therapeutic equipment to address special needs, and therapeutic resources including specialized formula and non-insured medications.
