Every day, Vancouver Island families travel away from home for specialized health care for their children. During an already difficult time, the added cost and stress of travelling for care can place an even greater burden on families.
We help by operating a network of Homes Away From Home located just steps from regional hospitals. Jeneece Place in Victoria and Q̓ʷalayu House in Campbell River provide families with a welcoming, affordable place to stay so they can focus on their child. In spring 2027, our third home, Jesse’s House will open for families travelling to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for their child’s care.
The 365 Nights campaign invites the community to fund a year of accommodation for families staying at our Homes Away From Home.
Our Journey to 365 Nights
Our goal is to fund as many stays as possible, one week at a time. Every week funded brings us closer to ensuring more Island families have a place to stay when they need it most.

How you can help: One week at a time
- Fund a week with a one-time gift of $1,000
- Pledge to support for multiple weeks and spread your contribution over the year
- Rally your school, workplace, or community group to collectively support a week or more
- Make a monthly gift: $85/month funds a full week for the year
- Give a week of support in honour of a client, colleague, or loved one
