Fuel Good Day at Peninsula Co-op to support children’s health

VICTORIA, BC | Five cents from every litre of fuel sold at any Peninsula Co-op station on Tuesday, September 19 will be donated to Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.

“Members and customers filling up on Fuel Good Day will have lots to feel great about knowing they’re helping Island kids reach their full potential,” says Penny Sopel, marketing and community relations manager for Peninsula Co-op. “We’re excited that something as simple as getting gas will contribute so significantly to an amazing local charity.”

All 16 of Peninsula Co-op’s gas centres in Greater Victoria, the Cowichan Valley and Comox will be participating in Fuel Good Day on September 19—and the five-cents-per-litre donation includes all grades of gasoline and diesel fuel.

“We can’t thank Peninsula Co-op enough for choosing us as their Fuel Good Day charity this year,” says Veronica Carroll, CEO of the Foundation. “Their donation will provide vital support for the facilities, programs and equipment we fund for kids and families across the Islands, including Jeneece Place and the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children’s Health.”
