Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is pleased to announce the appointment of a new board director Leah Mack, who was officially welcomed to the board at the Foundation’s Annual General Meeting September 17, 2019.

“I am honoured to join the board of directors at Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.  As a born and raised Vancouver Islander, I am so impressed with the work and contributions provided by the Foundation, and hope to use my skills and expertise to further help the Foundation continue with these important projects while I serve on the board” says Leah.

Leah is a lawyer and owner of her firm, Mack & Company Law. Leah was born and raised in Victoria and is a member of the Toquaht Nation. She has dedicated her career to working with First Nations governments across the country on a range of issues, including electoral reform, membership laws, bylaws and policies that best reflect each unique Nation.  She is passionate about working in communities and understanding each community’s unique customs, laws, and traditions.

Sandra Hudson is continuing as the Foundation’s board chair for a second consecutive year.

The Foundation recognized outbound board directors to thank them for their commitment. This includes Kay Melbye, a lawyer with Brown Henderson Melbye, and Dr. Jennifer Balfour, a pediatric physician.
