Door-to-door campaign
Our friendly door-to-door fundraisers are sharing the StoryMaker program with communities across Vancouver Island.
Starting January 2025
Our dedicated team of fundraisers is reaching out to neighbours like you to support Island kids and families through our StoryMaker monthly giving program. When you see our representatives at your door, you’re meeting someone who shares our vision: ensuring all Island kids have access to the health care they need.
Who we are
For the past century, Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island has supported the health care journeys of Island families. We do that by reducing barriers families face when accessing health care – both in terms of cost and distance.
Our Homes Away From Home, Jeneece Place in Victoria and Q̓ᵂalayu House in Campbell River, are welcoming, comfortable, affordable places for families to stay near the hospital while their child receives care.
Our Bear Essentials program directly supports families to cover costs of their child’s health care needs, from specialized equipment to health-related travel.

Why door-to-door fundraising?
Door-to-door fundraising allows us to make personal connections with our neighbours. Our team is going door to door, building a community of donors who share the same vision—ensuring all Island kids have access to the health care they need. By speaking face-to-face with community members, we can share powerful stories of impact and encourage sustainable giving.
Meet our partner, Globalfaces Direct
Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island partners with Globalfaces Direct, one of North America’s largest face-to-face fundraising services. The representatives received comprehensive training, allowing them to speak on our behalf about our work and our programs.
