Businesses are coming together

155.75 nights [$22,250 raised]

Goal: 365 nights [$52,000]

365 nights of comfort, care, and connection for Island families

Every day, families need to leave their communities to access health care for their children. They travel long distances, sometimes in emergency situations. When they arrive at one of our Homes Away From Home, just steps from their child in hospital, they receive rest, relief, and support.

Years ago, Island businesses came together to help build these homes, united by the belief that families belong together—especially during their most difficult moments. Today, we’re asking the business community to come together again to ensure our homes remain a dependable place of refuge for those who need them most.

We need your help to ensure support is there when families need it.

How you can help

We’re calling on local businesses to collectively fund 365 nights—a full year of stays in one of our rooms—for Island families who need to travel for their child’s health care.

With as little as $1,000, your business will provide at least one week of comfort and care for a family and become part of a growing circle of community-minded businesses creating meaningful impact.

Together, we’ll help hundreds of families stay close to their kids, without the financial or logistical stress of finding a place to stay.

What your support provides

  • A welcoming, affordable place to stay, steps from the hospital
  • A cozy bed, a caring community, and all the amenities of home
  • Relief from the emotional and financial stress that comes with having a child in hospital

The full cost to provide a room for one night is $165. Families are asked to contribute $25 per night, if they’re able—the rest is funded by generous donors like you.

Some families stay for one night; others remain for weeks or even months. Every contribution helps ease their journey.

“If I hadn’t had that experience at Q̓ʷalayu House, I don’t know if I’d be in the state I am now emotionally. We were really supported. I felt like my hand was held in a time where I really needed it.”
