Current opportunities
Jeneece Place gardening day
Help in the gardens of Jeneece Place by completing light tasks, such as weeding, maintaining the garden beds, planting, and watering.
Location: Jeneece Place – 201 Hospital Way, Victoria
Date: Friday, February 20
Time: 2 pm – 4 pm
Raffle ticket sales support – Victoria Royal’s game
Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island has been selected as the charity of choice for the Victoria Royals’ game on February 27 against the Portland Winterhawks. The Foundation will receive the proceeds from the game’s 50/50 raffle.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the raffle. Volunteers will roam the concourse and arena to promote ticket sales from when doors open pre-game, throughout the game, and during intermissions until the start of the third period.
It’s a fun and energetic environment, where volunteers can enjoy some hockey while helping to raise funds for the Foundation.
Skills required: Customer service, people skills, sales, persuasion, attention to detail, tech-savvy (with POS machine), mobility and stamina, professionalism. All volunteers must be over the age of 19 for this role.
Location: Save on Foods Memorial Centre (1925 Blanshard St, Victoria, BC)

Location: Island-wide
We organize several events throughout the year. Tasks may involve setting up booths, tables, and chairs, assisting at the registration desk, selling tickets, interacting with the public, and much more.
Garden care
Help in the gardens of Q̓ʷalayu House, completing light tasks such as weeding, maintaining the garden beds, planting, and watering. This is also a wonderful opportunity for group volunteering.

We welcome businesses, schools, family, work groups, and others to volunteer together as a group! This provides a fun team bonding opportunity. If interested in volunteering as a group, please have the group leader complete the group online application form.

Board Members
Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is recruiting new members to its Board of Directors. As a Board member, you would be joining a group of committed volunteers to provide governance and guidance to our Foundation. The Board meets every two months, and each Director is accountable for serving on one or two committees.
The Board seeks to represent our ethnic and indigenous communities and to ensure we are reflective of the diversity of the communities we serve. We are also looking for individuals who can represent the needs of children with complex health care needs. Additionally, we are looking for individuals across Vancouver Island who have experience, relationships and networks to support our work in projects and fundraising, who have health care experience, legal expertise, or institutional investment expertise.
