Island kids need you

Thank you for joining us on December 1, 2020, for GivingTuesday. Together you donated $7,185  — funds that will make a big impact on areas of greatest need.

This year marked the 8th annual GivingTuesday; a global movement that inspires the generosity of those in our communities.

There are many ways to make a difference, as Foundation donors Al and Gay have demonstrated. Last year, Al and Gay took more than 378,000 items to the return depot in support of children’s charities. When Al and Gay learned about the construction of Q̓ʷalayu House, our new home away from home in Campbell River, they knew they needed to help. Their KANS FOR KIDS recycling initiative will help us open the doors of Qwalayu House in the Spring.

Island kids need you. Your support on GivingTuesday, and throughout the year, ensures that Island kids receive the health care support they need.

Thank you!

Thank you for your support!

Meet Al and Gay Ruff, from KANS FOR KIDS

“For the first six weeks of the COVID-19 outbreak, it was just Gay and I. We had condos and apartment buildings phoning us and saying they had bags upon bags of cans to be picked up. They were long and hard days, but at the end of each day we had smiles on our faces knowing that we would hopefully make a difference in kids’ lives.”

Al and Gay are encouraged that more people want to give back and make a difference in the lives of Island kids and youth.

Make a gift on December 1 for Island kids!
